Healthy Milkshake

It’s National Chocolate Milkshake Day, so I thought I would take advantage of this glorious occasion to surprise Chet with a healthy chocolate milkshake.

BUT he doesn’t have to know it’s healthy — and neither will you!

You have to try this recipe. It’s easy to make, has only five ingredients and tastes like a milkshake from a diner.

Don’t forget to get a great milkshake glass! Enjoying a fancy treat in a fancy glass makes it that much more fun.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sliced, frozen bananas

  • 1 cup plant milk

  • 2-3 dates

  • 2 TBSP cocoa powder

  • 2 TBSP nut butter

Steps:

  • Freeze bananas prior - slice bananas and place on parchment paper. Make sure the banana slices are not touching. Freeze a couple hours (or the night before) prior to making your milkshake.

  • Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend until creamy.

  • Enjoy!

The best milkshake I ever had was at a little place called the Elgin Street Diner in my hometown, Ottawa, Canada. It was a chocolate banana milkshake, and absolute heaven. I wish I could have one now!!

Q. What’s the best milkshake you’ve ever had? I’d love to know. Tell me below👇🏻
