Star Kite

Have fun this long weekend with a backyard star kite!

Made from recycle cardboard, tissue paper and kraft covered wire. Your kids will love it!

Cut out the shape, ribbons and handle and let them decorate the star however they like. Then let them run around and play with it in the backyard. So much fun!

Steps:

  • cut out star shape, punch four holes (two at the top for the handle and two at the bottom for the ribbons)

  • use the kraft covered wire to make the handle (tie it in a knot around each hole)

  • cut tissue paper or an old plastic table cloth into small strips (1-2cm wide)

  • twist the ends, insert them into the holes and use kraft covered wire to secure it in place

  • pull the ribbon apart to let it fall loosely

  • then give them to your kids to decorate and/or play with

  • to decorate the star, try paint, chalk, crayons, marker or sparkles

Supplies:

  • cardboard, pencil, exacto knife, scissors, kraft covered wire, tissue paper or plastic table cloth

Then let your kids play for days!
