Top Five Finds

I love decorating kids rooms - I mean, who doesn’t. It’s all about fun, imagination and tons of colour. How could you ever go wrong!

If you’ve been following me and my little blog long enough, you’ll know I’m all about supporting local artists, family heirlooms, and DIY projects – all while keeping it easy, costs low and tons of fun.

Shelves are a great way to get creative, while bringing all these ideas together – and they totally make a cute feature wall when you add a few other things to the mix,

Here’s my top five favourite finds from Chet’s kids room feature wall:

  1. Name Sign – I ordered this little gem off Etsy from a small business in London, England and it lights up

  2. Handmade Surfboards – also an Etsy find, these one of a kind surfboards were made by a woodworker in California

  3. Cinema Sign – a nice little gift from my mama, which brings so much fun to a room because it’s looks cool, you can write whatever you want and it’s from a local store

  4. Book Ends – maybe I’m biased being an author and all, but I think there needs to be tons of places for kids books – this was also an Etsy find, handmade and came from an artist in Europe

  5. The Birds – these were custom made by my dad, and I couldn’t love them more – my dad loves birds and I asked him to make two special ones just for Chet, because sentimental is the best

Clearly, I need to do a second post on this cause I could name five more.
