Nursery Room Design

Welcome to our little slice of heaven.

I loved designing this space. I truly believe you don’t have to get crazy with all designer things to make a space look beautiful, you just have to get creative.

Here’s how I pulled this room together while keeping costs low:

1. Artwork – the artwork I found on Etsy, then printed it locally and put it in simple IKEA frames to let the colours shine
2. Family Heirlooms – the rocking chair and bureau were both passed down and extra special to us, we then repainted them to match the room
3. Furniture – the crib is from Pottery Barn and the daybed is from West Elm, both minimalistic designs you can jazz up
4. Decor – I bought simple shelves from IKEA to display books, gifts, stuffed animals and the Coco sign made by my dad
5. Pop of Pizzazz – we added a fun light fixture from IKEA and bedding/pillows/curtains from Homesense for extra fun

I love a room with a mix of vintage and modern, a splash of colour and a whole lot of comfort – so that’s exactly how I designed this space.

What’s your favourite design style or tip?

I’d LOVE to know!
